"He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed."
—Albert Einstein
If we take a moment to stop and pause, we might see something that we might have missed.
Pause long enough to admire an emerald green sea giving off a cool breeze while we feel the soft sand under our feet. We might even play and make sandcastles like when we were children, and take long walks along the seashore noticing the sound of the waves and the seashells on the sand.
It is amazing to see leaves change color during fall time, because they seem to know the precise moment in time when to change colors from orange to bright yellows and deep reds.
If we pause we might even noticed how frost is on every blade of grass, and how crystalline icicleshang from trees.
We might even noticed how clouds become different shapes, like dogs, dinosaurs, and rabbits and many other things like when we were children and used our imagination or even when we threw pebbles in the water watching them form ripples with amazement.
If we pause long enough we might catch a swift hummingbird flapping its wings while dragonflies are nearby. We might even see a buzzing bumblebee with its stripes of black and yellow going to a Wisteria for its sweet scent and delicious nectar. We might also see how a bird decorates a tree with her nest.
Listen for a second to hear the water of a rushing river fighting its way to the ocean, listen to the sounds of rustling leaves on breeze days, and listen carefully to the sound the forest. If you listen long enough you might hear what nature has to say to you and most of all listen to the laughter of children when they are fulfilled because only they know to live carefree.
Take time to notice how beautiful a kite is being pushed by the wind when it is flying up high against the deep blue sky, while the sun sparkles on your hair. Notice how a Blue Jay and a Cardinal wear their colors proudly. Take a moment to pause and notice how a Magnolia tree shows off its flowers in the springtime and while the Gardenia give off its fragrance to the world. Pause long enough to see the reflection of the moon at night as you take your finger and try to touch its iridescent glow.
Pause, and you might notice there is a purpose in everything that exists.
