"No one has a greater asset for his business than a man’s pride in his work."
—Hosea Ballou
Take pride in all the things that you do. People do not think that matters, but it does, because everything you do represents you. I have seen people at their jobs doing their work without any fervor, they just do what is asked of them, and nothing more, without any enthusiasm or care, even though no one is watching you, you should always do your best at anything that comes your way.
"If a man is called to be a street sweeper he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well."
—Martin Luther King
This quote sums up what we all should be doing with our attitudes, we just cannot do something’s without any pride or eagerness. Always put one hundred percent into everything you do, because someone might not acknowledge you, but as long as along as you know that you did your best. Your work represents your ability to work hard, and doing it with love and care means that you are giving what others are lacking.
"When your work speaks for itself, don't interrupt."
—Henry J. Kaiser
